The SageCliffe School Garden Program, initiated by Executive Chef Fernando Divina, offers children a "hands-on" learning experience.
The goal of the program is to allow students to learn about the importance of "eating locally", how to grow food organically, and then to see how that harvest can be prepared to provide delicious, healthful meals. |
Earth Day Groundbreaking with Mountain View Elementary School
Over 170 first-graders from Quincy's Mountain View Elementary School joined us at SageCliffe on Earth Day, April 22nd, to launch our School Garden Program. The children planted thier very own plot in our Chef's Garden, and learned about heirloom vegetables from Chef Fernando Divina. |
